Asian Congress on Biotechnology is a prestigious international conference organized by Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB) collaborated with Research Center of Biomedical Engineering Universitas Indonesia (RCBE UI). 15th Asian Congress on Biotechnology is held in Nusa Dua, Bali in conjunction with 7th International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE) on October 3rd to 5th, 2022.
The conference can gather people from 19 countries with biotechnology related background discussing about 15 related topics within 3 days even. The topics are agricultural and food biotechnology, applied microbiology, biopharmaceutical and medical biotechnology, biocatalysis and protein engineering, bioprocess and bioseparation engineering, bioenergy and biorefinery, environmental biotechnology, marine biotechnology, nanobiotehnology, biosensor, and biochips, system and synthetic biotechnology, tissues engineering and biomaterials, bioindustry promotion and bioeducation, drug delivery and development, medical devices, and clinical and public health.
What special during current conference is the sessions are held hybrid for the first time after three years of Covid-19 pandemic. All the participants discuss the topics both offline and online. About 294 papers from 909 participants including invited speakers are coming to discuss the topics. This is in line with the theme of Biotech for Stronger Recovery after an unpredicted 3 years of pandemic.
AFOB itself is an international federation which member coming from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, and Thailand. Meanwhile, RCBE is a research center from Universitas Indonesia which member coming from several backgrounds and faculties such as Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicines, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, and Faculty of Pharmacy.
