As a part of the national education system, which has the objective to develop the intellectual life of the nation through human resources development by conducting three main activities known as tri-dharma (three duties), the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia is also committed to continuously improve its academic activities in teaching and learning process, scientific research, and community services. This commitment would also be in line with the consideration of high demand to produce quality graduates and following current trends toward the global competition.
To achieve one of the three duties endowed by the national education system, especially to accelerate the advancement of technology and research in biomedical engineering, integrated thinking of the researchers from various educational institutions and biomedical research is required. Currently, there have been various discoveries and or research in medical engineering areas from higher education and or research institutions. However, the results are lacking coordination that can be pinpoint in a specific direction. To accommodate this idea, a symposium is needed primarily to conduct discussions for positive collaboration with all biomedical researchers equally and mutually.
The International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE) is an annual event initiated by the Research Center for Biomedical Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (RCBE UI). The event is organized to improve the communication of science, research, and technology among students, faculty, and researchers in Indonesia and abroad who study and or have a career in biomedical engineering. This International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering would be one of the ways to strengthen the biomedical agenda in Indonesia with international relations.
The Asian Congress on Biotechnology (ACB) 2022 is an international conference jointly organized by the Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB) and the Research Center for Biomedical Engineering Universitas Indonesia (RCBE UI). The ACB 2022 will be held in conjunction with The 7th International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE). We aim to provide a platform for researchers and young scientists from around the world to present novel findings and discuss the future of biotechnology for 2022 and beyond. The meeting will include a variety of important sessions ranging from applied microbiology, medical biotechnology, nanotechnology, biomaterials/regenerative medicine, synthetic biology, and more. The theme of this conference is “Biotech for Stronger Recovery” which will underpin the need for collaboration and cooperation of individuals and industries from a wide range of biochemical backgrounds.
The ACB-ISBE 2022 will be held on 2-6 October 2022, featuring many interesting papers. Currently, the entire world is struggling against the virulent pandemic COVID-19. ISBE 2022 members take the utmost care of our valuable authors as well as us. We have taken multiple precautionary measures to prevent spreading the virus among the public. Therefore, the presentation session for ISBE 2022 will be done by Hybrid Conference (offline & online).
The selected papers will be planned to be submitted to reputable Publishers.
